Snorkeling Gay El Nido in the Philippines – The Nomadic Boys

Snorkeling Gay El Nido in the Philippines - The Nomadic Boys

Is this Paradise? Yes, it is. We’ve found it. Right here at the northern tip of Palawan Island in the Philippines: El Nido!

We came to gay El Nido during our big trip in the Philippines and ended up staying for a few weeks. It turned into a big underwater adventure – we went one time and wanted more and more. It is an underwater lover’s wet dream. It has many healthy coral reefs, underwater landscapes and an abundance of marine life with over 800 fish species. Almost every time we dipped our head into these turquoise waters it was like we were entering a whole new world – so many colors, fish and even a few turtles and rays passing by!

Snorkeling Gay El Nido

Joining one of the four famous snorkeling tours in El Nido (A, B, C or D) is the most accessible way to get a flavor of this magical underwater world: no diving experience is required, it’s fully guided and very secure.

In this article, we’ve summarised our experience with each of these four snorkeling tours of El Nido to help you pick the best one for you.

Disney’s California Adventure for Gay Families - 2TravelDads

In this podcast episode, Disney’s California Adventure for gay families is our hot topic. Truth be told, we tend to spend more time in DCA than in Disneyland. Maybe it’s the smaller crowds; maybe we like the big attractions more… maybe it’s the food… Either way, this is our complete run-down of all the rides in this fiun theme park and what YOU just can’t miss!

Tips for Disney’s California Adventure for Gay Families

Everyone asks us if California Adventure (DCA) is worth adding to their Disneyland trip. The answer is YES! OMG, yes! Over the years it’s actually become our favorite theme park, and not just favorite of the Disney Parks. To follow along or just get familiar with DCA, download the park map first.

These are our top tips for beating the lines, what’s really worth waiting for, and even some insider info about what’s coming to this amusement park (hint: it’s MARVELous).

Gay Riviera Maya – The Nomadic Boys

Gay Riviera Maya - The Nomadic Boys

We once thought of this place as our little secret. Never too crowded, never too raucous. Always pleasant and serene. Luckily, even as more and more people discover it, the gay Riviera Maya is still holding onto that soft charm that made us fall in love in the first place.

Exploring the Gay Riviera Maya

The gay scene may be tamer than Cancun, but its presence is still felt, especially in Playa del Carmen. If you go at the right time of year you’ll find colorful parties, in particular, the Mayan Xcapade on Labor Day Weekend in early September!

Beyond the gay nightlife, the beaches of the Riviera Maya are simply divine – one of the many reasons why we were drawn here initially. The white sands, still blue waters, and gorgeous Caribbean weather are indescribably wonderful – you need to experience it to truly appreciate the magic of it.

The Riviera Maya is also popular with history and nature enthusiasts. There are tons of ancient ruin sites and Mayan pyramids dotted throughout the region that are worth devoting an entire day to. Here is our detailed guide to the Riviera Maya to inspire your own trip here.

The Riviera Maya can be found in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. Just 10 miles south of Cancun, it’s an alternative for those who crave beach life and warm Caribbean sun, without the hustle and bustle of a typical urban city. Surfers, swimmers, and divers prefer it to other Mexican cities, as the waters tend to be calmer here than in Cancun.

Gay Malaka, Malaysia – Keep Calm and Wander

Gay Malaka, Malaysia - Keep Calm and Wander

I did a self-guided Malaka Walking Tour as soon as I arrived in the UNESCO-World Cultural Heritage city. I had a whole day to spare, so I decided to do it on my own. The blistering sun didn’t really dissuade me from walking. Having a hat and bottled water were enough for me. But, if you can afford, experience being “chauffeured” around with one of the colorful rickshaws. It would be a fun thing to do in gay Malaka.

Where to start? Well, I began at the heart of the postcard-perfect old town. I know that’s where the crowd goes, but you can’t avoid tourists wherever you go. Besides, it’s always good to start a walking tour at the heart of history, right?

The order of these places are based on how I discovered them. You can exactly follow the route in order to save time. You’re welcome.

Gay Malaka – Stadthuys

In Dutch, this building means “City Hall” and it’s been standing there since 1650. There’s a museum inside if you are into that sort of thing. One of the first things you’ll notice is its red structure – and so are the rest of the other old buildings around. Thus, they also call it “Red Square.”

Visiting Gay Zurich – The Nomadic Boys

Visiting Gay Zurich - The Nomadic Boys

The Nomadic Boys Visit Gay Zurich – And Tell About It

Zurich. A city so organised, so efficient, so perfect in every way, it is said to run like clockwork.

Enter the Nomadic Boys: two ditzy, calamity gay guys descending upon the city, with their mouths agape, and disrupting the peace entirely. We were two pink peas in a pod!

We quickly had to get used to how “operational” gay Zurich was. Like reminding ourselves that when a bus or a train says they are leaving at a specific time, they meant there are actually leaving at that time (as opposed to the time being a gentle guideline like they are back home!).

Once we got into the rhythm of the city, we fell in love. There’s the classic architecture, the mild-mannered people, the mouth-watering food, and of course, a plenitude of chocolate.

The only drawback is – how darn expensive it is! Our first night there we both audibly gasped when we opened our menus – and it wasn’t because the place didn’t serve margaritas… Other than that, there is so much to love and gush over. And we’ve laid it all out down for you below.

Visiting the Oregon Cascades With Kids – 2TravelDads

Oregon Cascades With Kids - 2TravelDads

We love our road trips, you know that, and living in the Pacific Northwest, we’re at the gateway to some of the best road trips in the United States. Oregon is our neighbor and we visit it a lot, but it’s rare that we really explore the south part of the state. This is our Oregon Cascades with kids road trip that takes the best of the Cascades and pairs it with the coast. This road trip itinerary is ideal in Spring and Summer and is great with kids!

Visiting the Oregon Cascades With Kids

When we found out we were heading to the southern part of the state, we knew two things: the Umpqua National Forest and the southern coast are going to be fun and drastically different. The Cascade Mountains run from British Columbia to Northern California. They’re dotted by snowy peaks and dense forests, which when put together make for an epic collection of waterfalls. Doing a road trip with kids, we knew that we needed to pack in some big wow items, and beautiful waterfalls always do the trick.

Gay Patagonia – The Nomadic Boys

Gay Patagonia - The Nomadic Boys

These are our top gay Patagonia highlights including our favorite parts of this region of Chile and Argentina.

Ready for the best trekking adventures of your life?

Patagonia blew our minds. Very few places in the world can match the incredible landscape in places like El Chaltén or Torres del Paine. We had some of the most rewarding trekking adventures here and would happily return for more. And it gets better – the region also has so much wildlife to discover, like the Magellanic penguins in Chubut or the orcas in Puerto Madryn, to name a few!

Patagonia is a vast chunk of land that sits on the southern end of the South American continent, split between Chile and Argentina. It includes a mix of landscapes including the Andes mountains, lakes, fjords, glaciers, desert, steppes, and ocean – Atlantic on one side, Pacific on the other.

We spent a month traveling across gay Patagonia focusing on the Chubut region and Santa Cruz in Argentina, then in Torres del Paine in Chile. To inspire your Bucket List, we’ve put together some of the best Patagonia highlights and experiences from our trip here.
