Welcome to Ursa Minor, a Knotty Pine cottage that looks out over Long Lake in the Sleeping Bear Dune Lakeshore area.

The cottage is perfect for up to four: a couple or couple with small kids, or four very close friends. Exceptions to this must be cleared with the owners when booking, and there will be an additional fee.

The property features a small beach and dock where you can swim, kayak or take out the rowboat onto Long Lake.

Inside, there's a fireplace at one end of the cottage and an eight foot sliding glass door with views of the Lake on the other. It's a great place to rest and relax, with many great things to do locally.

Finding a true "cottage" in the Sleeping Bear Dune area is a lot harder these days as many have been torn down for larger houses. We have worked hard to retain the rustic feel of the place. You'll find a complete set of up to date with kitchen utensils and pots and pans. There's no disposer or dishwasher, but you'll have everything else you might need to cook at home.

Each lot on Long Lake is at least seventy-five feet wide, giving you lots of privacy. Our neighbors are great folks - and one of them used to be long-time renters of ours.

The land across Long Lake, along with many acres along our lakeshore, are owned by the Sleeping Bear Dune Lakeshore, assuring you of great views.

Our Lake is graced with a pair of endangered loons and their offspring - we even have a designated "Loon Ranger" who lives on the Lake. And in the summertime, the National Park has naturalists providing weekly events.

There is no place on earth more beautiful than majestic Lake Michigan - come stay with us for a weekend or a week and see why!
