Welcome to Guerneville's Highlands Resort - celebrating the LGBTQ+ community since 1979!
We offer a vivid sense of place. Cottages that are beautifully classic. A pool with a backyard hangout vibe. A short walk to everything in town. Majestic, towering Redwood trees. Tasty homemade breakfasts.
Most of our guests have stayed with us before and of those that are first time visitors, many have been referred to us by their friends. We're also straight friendly.
We'll curate your trip for yoy. We know all there is to know about having a good time in Sonoma County: where to eat; where to sample local wines, beer, and cider; the most wonderful bakeries; and the best creameries (cheeses, ice cream - all things dairy). We share all the best inside tips with our guests.
Our cabins are all private and have porches that catch the sun. There are big comfortable beds and cozy gas fireplaces. We offer 15 guest rooms and 10 different floor-plans - take a look at our website to see the differences.
In the summertime camping is also available. Bring a tent and glamp the week away. Campers have access to everything, including our expanded Continental Breakfast and WIFI (although not in the Campground itself).
The Highlands Resort has ten individual cabins, three suites and two smaller rooms. All have private en-suite bathrooms. All stays include Continental Breakfast, free WIFI, and use of our new Barbecue Pavillion!
The resort is in Guerneville which 69 miles northwest of San Francisco. The closest local airport is in Santa Rosa. Sonoma County is known worldwide for the quality of the wine produced here as well as the natural beauty of the area.
Guerneville is a small village with several excellent restaurants, a large grocery store and several bars (a couple are LGBT all are LGBT-friendly).
