Bluff Creek is a simple campground in the beautiful Mary Valley on the Sunshine Coast. The 100 acres of camping offer guests the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the Mary River, walk through bushland that is home to koalas, kangaroos and many other native animals.

Features and amenities include, hot showers and flushing toilets, bush walking trails, swimming holes and a small farm shop offering local fare and camping basics. We keep numbers low to allow our guests extra privacy and space.

Our locality offers lovely day trips from visiting waterfalls to breweries and local producers. Markets in the nearby towns of Imbil and Eumundi can also be found on selected days.

Our sleek pavilions offer understated luxury and a sense of seclusion, while just being 6 kilometres from the nearest town. But with a dramatic freestanding bath at your disposal as well as a double sided fireplace, luxurious king size bedroom, breathtaking views of native wildlife, not to mention a delectable breakfast basket each morning, we doubt you will want to venture anywhere else except maybe out for dinner to a country pub if you are not in the mood for using the BBQ on the deck.

Should you choose too however to venture out there are many amazing walks and hikes not too far away.

Venture a little further to the beautiful Rainforest Towns of Maleny & Montville or go and explore the famous Australia Zoo.

Or if you don’t really want to leave your sanctuary we have an onsite cafe where you can just relax and enjoy the views over our Mango Orchard and watch the kangaroos.

Vancouver will be full of revellers for the annual Pride festival and parade, which take place every B.C. Day weekend. But what are your options if you’re a gay introvert and you want to get away from all that big-city noise and partying without facing any small-town judgments because of whom you sleep with?

According to Sechelt resident Duane Burnett, you ought to consider a getaway to the Sunshine Coast. He says that the area stretching from Howe Sound to Desolation Sound—and including the communities of Sechelt, Gibsons, Roberts Creek, and Halfmoon Bay – offers some of the most gay-friendly small-town experiences in Canada.

“There are all these gay and lesbian leaders here who are part of the community,” Burnett told the Georgia Straight by phone. “It’s pretty cool.”
