HISTORIC AND ROMANTIC
GAY FRIENDLY KENNEBUNK INN
The Waldo Emerson Inn was originally built by Waldo Emerson in 1753, and then expanded in 1784. Our Kennebunk B&B is a former shipbuilder’s mansion, and is one of the most historic places to stay on the Southern Maine coast.
Legend has it that Emmerson’s great nephew, the well-known poet and essayist Ralph Waldo Emerson, used to pass his summers writing in our parlor.
Our gay friendly Kennebunk inn is both stately and refined, and has kept its historical charm. we’ve combined that charm with a sense of elegant whimsy that’s sure to please our guests.
All six of our guest rooms include private ensuite bathrooms, luxurious sheets and towels, Smart televisions, Amazon Echos, robes and custom bath amenities.
The Waldo Emerson Inn also offers free WiFi, an Honor Bar, and outdoor dining and a cozy fire pit (weather permitting).
Our London-trained chef and innkeeper prepares two-course gourmet breakfasts every morning.
