Periodically we’ll feature one of our properties here to let our readers know about some great gay friendly places to stay. The Applewood Manor is located the historic Montford Neighborhood, just north of downtown Asheville, NC. This 1912 Colonial Revival sits on a one acre bluff overlooking the city. The house was originally the private home of Captain John Perry, who occupied the home until 1951. We have five guest rooms in the main house and a one room cottage. Each room has king sized beds, with one exception, private baths, satellite TV, and individual air conditioning. Many of the rooms have gas fireplaces and balconies overlooking the grounds. The main floor of the house has a music parlor with a baby grand piano, the dining room and the living room with games, books and gas fireplace. A three-course gourmet breakfast is included with a reservation.
