FitzBB

Periodically we’ll feature one of our properties here to let our readers know about some great gay friendly places to stay:

Our charming 18th-century townhouse is located in a quiet pedestrian-only street in Fitzrovia, one of central London’s “urban villages”. Just round the corner is Charlotte Street, London’s best for stylish restaurants. A few minutes’ walk takes you into Soho and the West End with their shops, bars, clubs and theatres. Nearest tube station: Goodge Street.

The three guest rooms are distinctively and comfortably furnished, with double bed, table and pair of armchairs. All are equipped with fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, TV, and radio/CD alarm. Rates are per room for two occupants, discount for single occupancy.

A light breakfast (self-service) is available all morning in the breakfast room in the basement.

We are in the heart of the West End, with many of central London’s attractions within easy walking distance: Soho (with London’s gay village) is just to the south, Covent Garden to the south east and Regent’s Park to the north west.

For venturing further afield, we are well-placed for getting around on the extensive tube and bus network operated by Transport for London. Find Goodge Street Station on the (black) Northern Line, just above the (red) Central Line, directly in the centre of the tube map.

What to expect in SOHO

SOHO - Alain the Sojourner

Soho New York is synonymous to branded little shops. Or equally synonymous to cobblestoned streets, too. Or more famously synonymous to Sex and the City (SATC), a TV show that mentioned the neighbourhood–almost in every episode for five years! And of course, in Soho, you can find the world’s grandest collection amd highest concentration of iron cast buildings. Soho, nowadays, is one the most expensive neighborhoods in New York. Not to mention the Holloywood stars who live and shop around here.

In my solo stroll around the neighbourhood, here’s what I found out:

Is this building familiar to you? Remember that movie GHOST, starring Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze? Well, in that movie, Demi lives here. It’s also in one of the streets in Soho where patrick’s character was mugged and died. Thus, he becomes a ghost for the rest of the movie. 🙁
