Elms of Camden - Camden Gay Bed & Breakfast

Built in 1806 as a private residence, Elms of Camden is one of the oldest homes in the area. This authentic New England Colonial is a fine example of the marriage of preservation and restoration with original wide board pine floors, interior shutters and windows, and the original cooking stove from 1806.

Guestrooms are individually decorated and feature queen or king beds with custom linens and quality amenities. All rooms have private baths, some with jetted tubs and tile showers. All rooms have flat screen TVs, free and secure Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and other amenities for year-round comfort. All rooms except for Dahlia (the original kitchen) have a gas fireplace. Each morning, guests enjoy a delicious, home cooked breakfast served on the patio (weather permitting) or in the Keeping Room. The menu, inspired by Southern roots, local ingredients, and a bit of adventure changes daily; using only the freshest of local and seasonal ingredients. We welcome the opportunity to introduce our guests to our “simple breakfast…done right” motto that is the hallmark of our service. Fresh roasted coffee and tea are available 24/7 and an afternoon treat for snacking is usually always available!

Williams Pond Lodge – Gay Bucksport, Maine B&B

Williams Pond Lodge

Periodically we’ll feature one of our properties here to let our readers know about some great gay friendly places to stay:

Welcome to beautiful Bucksport Maine – and our home, Williams Pond Lodge, on beautiful Williams Pond.

We welcome guests to our eco-friendly Bed & Breakfast, and look forward to meeting new friends. Bucksport is in rural Downeast Maine, where you’ll find natural beauty, respect for the interdependece of life, and a strong belief in the worth and dignity of everyone.

We first visited Maine in 2001, and we returned in 2002 to search for a home that we could develop into a Bed and Breakfast. We knew our business would also be our home, so we needed to find a place that we’d want to live and work in, which would also appeal to the kind of travelers we wanted to host.

Maine’s natural beauty and friendly people attracted us to the area, and we were very excited as we planned to share that beauty and friendliness with others.

So now we live in beautiful, rural Bucksport – the perfect place for convenient day-tripping – on a lovely pond with great hiking, canoeing and kayaking all around us. We’ve developed Williams Pond Lodge into a great place for you, our friends – old and new – to share with us on your next visit to Maine!

Our Down East Bed and Breakfast is private but easy to find, just fifteen minutes by car from downtown Bucksport. Leave the pavement and follow our woods road for a little over a half-mile as it winds through the forest, along the pond shore, then ends in our front yard. We’re just a half hour from Bangor and Bangor International Airport.

Bucksport sits on the beautiful Penobscot River, close to historic Fort Knox and the spectacular new Penobscot Narrows Bridge and Observatory. Penobscot Bay stretches out in front of Bucksport, wich sits on the top of the Blue Hill Peninsula – we’re also an easy drive to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Castine, Stonington, Searsport, Belfast and Camden.

Come stay in our home and experience the peaceful relaxation of living in the woods, on the pond and off the grid. This is comfortable wilderness in Downeast Maine… create new vacation memories which will bring you back again and again to visit your friends at Williams Pond Lodge!
