Jan and Kate warmly welcome LGBTI travellers to our 100-year-old cottage in the heart of the historic river city of Whanganui. Here you will find a peaceful haven, friendly and informative lesbian hosts, and quiet, warm and comfortable rooms.
Guests must love animals, as we have two friendly old dogs and two cats, and 6 hens. Guests must also be ok with sharing a bathroom. We welcome children, and we are pet-friendly.
We have Ultra Fast Broadband Wi-Fi, which is free to our guests, and provide complimentary tea and coffee. You can opt for breakfast of fresh homemade bread and locally made jams and spreads and/or eggs from our chooks and free-range organic sausages. We serve real coffee! You are also welcome to use the washing machine, and share our kitchen if you wish to self-cater. We have a lovely deep bath for your use.
Our Bed and Breakfast is a great base from which to explore Whanganui, being one block from the river and cycleway, and an easy 10 minute walk to the centre of town. There you will find an array of great cafes and eateries, and the art galleries and boutique shopping for which the city is renowned. We love our city, and love to share it’s delights with our guests.
Stroll to the River Traders Market on a Saturday morning, paddle a waka or take a trip on the paddle steamer, visit the famous Sarjeant Gallery or the New Zealand Glassworks and enjoy the relaxed pace of life you will find here.
Whanganui is a great place for cyclists. The New Zealand Cycle Trail runs through the city, and we are a vital hub on the Mountains To Sea leg of the network. We can store your bikes safely while you stay.
If you are travelling by car, we are located 1.5 hours drive from Mt Ruapehu and the skifields, and the Tongariro Crossing. We are 2 hours drive from New Plymouth and Mt Taranaki, and 2.5 hours drive from Wellington.

Description: Camp Earth Connection is a Natural Campground and Retreat Center located in Freeville, 12 miles east of Ithaca, NY (home of the Gorges, Cornell University and Ithaca College.) The campground offers a relaxing stay with a variety of camping options including Log Cabins, Rustic Cabins, Adirondack Lean-To’s and Tent-Sites. Each site has privacy, picnic tables and grills or fire pits.
Setting: Camp Earth Connection is an alcohol & drug free facility, offering guests the opportunity to connect with nature and each other in a serene and beautiful natural setting. The Camp is adjacent to the Hammond Hill State Forest with 20 miles of hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing trails. The trails connect to the 950 mile Finger Lakes Trail system. Wildlife is abundant in the area. It’s common to hear the Coyotes and Owls throughout the day. In addition there is the Red Eft Cafe, a community outdoor kitchen with two cooking fire pits and grills. The Main Pavilion is a gathering space for community fires when it rains, as well as weekend activities & workshops including nature crafts, primitive skills, etc. Sports equipment is available for guests to use. The Helianthus Room is a small greenhouse where guests are welcome to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea or conversation. Mountain Bikes and a Paddle boat are available to rent.
Camp Activities & Workshops: Guests are welcomed to join the Director on weekend mornings for a complimentary cup of coffee or tea and oatmeal or pancakes cooked over the fire. Weekend programming may include a production of The Lorax by our local staff and volunteers, a Tree Walk to meet some of the ancient and sacred trees in the forest, an Animal Tracking Expedition or an Introduction to Zen Archery. Guided trail walks are available including: A short camp hike that leads to a small pond, and through a beautiful forest; A 2-mile round-trip hike to the Roy Park Preserve wetlands, a wonderful place to Bird Watch and observe wildlife; Or a hike on the Hammond Hill State Forest trails.

This Lewes Delaware bed and breakfast is a great choice for a summer beach vacation or weekend getaway. At your doorstep is bird watching, fishing or canoeing. If you are a dog owner, bring your pet here and relax. The daffodils were fabulous, tulips incredible and now the iris are blooming. Sit by the pool and watch the heron and other birds. We can accommodate groups from 10 to 23.
Our 8 acres provide guests with plenty of space to enjoy. Our heated swimming pool and hot tub our very popular. Rooms for guest use include a Kitchenette, observation tower for for bird watching, reading and visiting, two spacious decks, 2 screened porches, an outside shower and an exercise area. Four large sitting rooms invite you to lounge watch satellite TV, use the VCR/DVD, or play pool. We have DSL and Wireless internet access.
The Lazy L is a pet friendly resort. We love to meet well-mannered, housebroken dogs and cats (limit 2 pets per room). All dogs must be socialized to meet and play with other dogs.
We have a large fenced in area for running, exercise and off-leash play. In order to make your enjoyable we have directions to pet friendly beaches and restaurants. We have an outside shower with a hand held sprayer to remove salt water and sand after you play at the beach.

South Fork is a lesbian owned and operated boutique bed and breakfast in Southport, the CBD of the beautiful Gold Coast, in Queensland, Australia, offering a spacious air conditioned suite in a restored “Queenslander” cottage set in lush garden surrounds. Owned and operated by happy, friendly, local businesswoman – host Jenny has great local knowledge, is passionate about hospitality and tourism and loves helping guests experience the best the Gold Coast has to offer. Jenny opened South Fork to guests following the death of her long term partner Deborah (DL) from cancer in 2015. It had been a shared dream to run their own BnB. DL hailed from Key West, Florida, and the BnB is Jenny’s tribute to her and her Southern origins.
The suite comprises two rooms, plus own private bathroom. A large dining room where breakfast is served daily is entered directly from the suite. Walk from the dining room onto the deck overlooking the garden for breakfast. Comfortable outdoor furniture allow guests to experience and enjoy the casual sunny Queensland lifestyle.
Accommodating up to three people, the main bedroom is a Queen Size bed, with built in wardrobe and drawers including a hotel safe. The second room has a comfortable single bed divan, own fridge, tea & coffee making facilities, plasma TV and DVD, and comfortable armchair. Local honey and gourmet muesli, freshly brewed tea, French press ground coffee, artisan breads, homemade quality jams and real butter are a minimum standard at South Fork.
Bicycles are included – it is a short cycle to the beach and wonderful cycle tracks along the waterfront for miles. Large beach towels are provided for excursions to the iconic Gold Coast Beaches. Five minutes to the heart of Southport shopping centre and hub for all main public transport, including. There is a bus stop literally around the corner from cottage. 45 minutes bus shuttle to GC airport, off street car parking available for guest car. Southport offers easy access to the Gold Coast’s famous theme parks, major Hospital and medical precinct, Griffith University, TAFE College, Schools, Surfers Paradise, Chinatown and the Arts Centre. Regional attractions include Mount Tamborine, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Tweed Valley featuring the renowned Tweed Valley Art Gallery .

Built in 2008, Mountainside Cottage is the perfect place to stay while exploring the wonderful towns of Asheville and Weaverville. The interior is light-filled and sunny, thanks to the many windows and skylights (there’s even a skylight in the shower!). The cottage has central air conditioning for warmer days, as well as ceiling fans for those who prefer a cool breeze.
Even though we’re only about 15-20 minutes from downtown Asheville, our cottage is totally secluded. Once you’re here, you can see no one and no one can see you. Imagine sitting in the hot tub at night with no roof overhead — you can look right up at the stars. And it’s perfect because there are no city lights to spoil the view.
You can either stay in the cottage and enjoy the hot tub and totally relax or use it as a place to come back to after you’ve explored Asheville. We even have a binder that has restaurant menus, information on the Biltmore Estate, the Blue Ridge Parkway, things to do in Asheville, hikes in the area– complete with maps and written directions. We’ve tried to think of everything to take the guess work out of what to do and how to get there. That way you don’t have to spend all your time planning what to do–you can just go do it!
We furnish everything you’ll need for a perfect vacation. Washer/dryer, linens, microwave, toaster, mixer, blender, coffee maker, wine glasses, pots and pans, dishes–there will even be a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator when you arrive! You simply need to bring clothes and food.
Even though we do have an outdoor gas grill at the cottage, there’s a great park a mile-and-a-half away where you can cook out beside the French Broad River (yes, you can even hear the river at night). The Ledges Park is also a place where you can put in to kayak the area or go fly fishing.
And we’re more than happy to accommodate your pets (dogs only, please!). The cottage is totally surrounded by woods, so it’s a great place for your furry friends to run and play. There’s also a dog park/mountain bike trail a mile from the cottage.
