New York's Finger Lakes

Come visit the picturesque Finger Lakes Wine Country in Upstate New York, where you’ll find more than 100 wineries.

Finger Lakes Arts and MuseumsAlso nearby are great breweries, amazing cultural events, world-class museums, and fun-filled watersports. Travel along hiking and biking trails that take you from flat back roads to wondrous mountain tops.

The abundance of local artists makes the region one of the top destinations for hands-on experiences in glass work, pottery, and more. Museums range from The Corning Museum of Glass, the largest glass museum in the world, to the Rockwell Museum of Western Art that offers “the Best of the West in the East.”

The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport gives visitors an inside look into the life and work of Hammondsport’s favorite son. Known as the Father of Naval Aviation, Curtiss took Hammondsport to new heights with his astounding contributions to aviation history, including the first pre-announced public flight off Keuka Lake.

Finger Lakes in New York

The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum and many of our cultural sites are just a quick drive away. While you’re in your car, experience one of the most magical sights in the world: a stunning water view from a road weaving through rolling vineyards.

Route 54A from Hammondsport to Branchport was named “the most picturesque driving route in the world” by British Airways magazine. Catch beautiful glimpses of one of the only Y-shaped lakes in the world. Our beautiful Keuka Lake, known as “crooked lake” represents the very heart of the Finger Lakes region, which is made up of 11 glacially-formed lakes.

Finger LakesExplore the village of Hammondsport, located at the head of Keuka Lake. This charming, Norman Rockwell-esque place was recently voted “America’s Coolest Small Town” by readers of Budget Travel magazine. With amazing restaurants, talented artists, and world-renowned wineries, it’s easy to see why this place with “water, wings, and wine” is so very cool!

Finger Lakes WineriesEnjoy farmers markets from late spring through late October, as well as the grape harvest events taking place all around us from September through December. With so much going on you’ll have no worries about where to find your next favorite winery of the day.

Take in a water excursion, swim in our refreshingly clear waters, take a picnic along for your days’ journeys, and remember to breathe in the fresh air and take in the wondrous sites!
