Buckingham Palace, But No Queen – Keep Calm and Wander

Buckingham Palace The Queen was nowhere when I visited her residence, The Buckingham Palace in London. It’s either she was busy or just didn’t want to meet a fellow queen – that’s me. Or probably she was babysitting the adorable Prince George playing with her adorable corgis. But, whatever her reasons are, it’s not acceptable to snub me. Hahahahahaha! Right after we finished watching the Changing of the Guards, we headed out to Buckingham Palace which was once called as Buckingham House. The gardens and the park surrounding the palace are well-kept, thus, selfie sticks are flying up in the air for best photographic angles. The Buckingham Palace is the centre and residence of the British Monarchy since 1837. The palace has 775 rooms! Yes, that’s really huge, eh? Fifty two of these are Royal and guest rooms.

The British Museum – Keep Calm and Wander

The British Museum The British Museum is huge. It can be overwhelming for tourists who have no idea on what to see and where to start. With 8 million objects as collections, you can’t see them all in a day. But if you could, you’d be extremely exhausted at the end of your visit. There’s a chance that you won’t remember a thing or two if you intend to see too many objects in a short trip here. So, be like me – see only the things you’re interested to see. But, this doesn’t mean that you’ve got to be so focused on the objects you resolved to see. You’ve got to stop and see the things that capture your curiosity. Here’s my top 10 things to see at the British Museum. This list can help you plan ahead on what to expect inside, especially if you’re on a short visit. 1. Look up and go around the Great Court This is the largest covered public square in Europe. At the centre is the world-renowned Reading Room. Fail not to check it out.

The Secret Gay Life of Ancient Bath

Ancient Bath Bath is one of the most ancient cities in the UK – but nothing here is older than the water from its hot springs. It fell as rain around 10,000 years ago and sank 2km into the ground. Here hot rocks heat it to 69C (156F) before it bubbles to the earth’s surface – conveniently at perfect bathing temperature. The city that has grown up around these hot springs is globally famous for its handsome architecture. And it’s been attracting tourists for almost 2,900 years. So we booked a lodge with self-catering holiday specialists Hoseasons and started a weekend of Christmas shopping, historical discovery and pampering. What really happened in a Roman bathhouse? The Romans didn’t invent Ancient Bath. It was discovered in 863BC when the Celtic Prince Bladud was cured from his skin disease after bathing in the waters. By the time the Romans arrived, around 60AD, it was already an ancient British shrine. But the Romans combined those traditions with their own bathing culture. They identified their goddess Minerva with the local deities and built a shrine as well as a bathhouse.

Gay Brighton II – The Scruffy Italian Traveler

Gay Brighton As you already know, I love this fun and lively city in Southern England by the sea: I love it also because of its fun gay life. Yes, Gay Brighton is a place not to miss if you are interested in keeping all the points in your Gay Licence! All of the life of Gay Brighton happens in the very center of the town: the gay scene is not hidden, but embraced and welcome in this little English Town. And there is fun for any tastes and at any time of the year or the week! Most of the bars are located on or around the so called Gay Brighton Village, in the area called Kemptown, comprised between St James Street on the North, and the Marina on the South. These are the 5 top features you can’t miss in Gay Brighton according to Scruffy Gios! Gay Brighton – Official Nudist Beach Yes. Gay Brighton has an official naturist beach! Where is it? You don’t have to walk too much or look for some hidden hints to find it: the official Nudist Beach is right in front of the town, on the Marina, walking distance from the Pier. In Summer you can easily reach it by using the Volks Electric Railway from Brighton Pier: get off at the Black Rock station, and walk about 5 minutes (back towards Brighton) to find the nudist beach.

Gay Brighton Beach – The Scruffy Italian Traveler

Gay Brighton Beach Honestly I did not know Brighton at all before moving to the UK 5 years ago… shame on me! But once I discovered it, heeeeck! I fell in love with it. Gay Brighton Beach is a lively city in Southeast England, right by the sea. It is conveniently located south of London, in the East Sussex County. It is very easy to get to Brighton from the amazing British Capital which as you know I love so much: you can take a train from London Bridge or Blackfriars in about 1 hour you are right on Brighton Beach! Brighton is also very close to Gatwick airport, so if you happen to have some connecting flights and time to spare in your hands, head to Brighton and enjoy some lovely Pink time. Why should you know about Brighton and why I love it so much? Because the town throws one of the best Gay Prides of all the United Kingdom. Plus, Brighton Beach is one of the gayest cities of Great Britain, all year around!

Travel London Via Gay Rainbow Unicorn

Gay Rainbow Unicorn Let’s be honest, we’ve all dreamt of making the most fabulous entrance into work. This week, at least Londoners will see that dream come true, as they can drop the Tube or buse and take unicorn cabs to work instead. Yes, you read that right. Gay Rainbow Unicorn-drawn carriages. Taking you to work. Thats a fabulous entrance if we’ve ever seen one. And it’s as fabulous(ly gay) as it sounds: two horses, decked with rainbow manes and horns, draw a white coach, complete with rainbow pattern on the side.
