Engadine Inn And Cabins At Honey Hill - Asheville Gay Bed & Breakfast

Thinking about a vacation or holiday escape to Asheville and the surrounding mountains of Western North Carolina? Consider staying with us at Engadine Inn And Cabins At Honey Hill for your special visit to one of the Southeast’s most popular LGBT tourism destinations!

Unique among the community of Bed and Breakfast properties in and around Asheville, NC, Engadine Inn And Cabins offers two styles of lodging accommodations. In the Inn, we offer five guest rooms with private baths in a traditional bed and breakfast format where room stays are complemented with daily breakfast service. These rooms feature the old world charm of a Queen Ann styled Victorian mansion where period furnishings, rich linens, claw footed tubs and luxurious bath products provide guests with a sumptuous setting for romance or relaxation.

Elsewhere on the twelve-acre property, we offer guests a more private, mountain getaway in six fully furnished cabins. One and two bedroom cabins are available and each comes with its own completely outfitted full-sized kitchen in which guests are free to prepare their own meals.

All of our accommodations feature fireplaces (operated seasonally) and dramatic views of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains.

Barcelona’s Stunning Park Guell – Keep Calm and Wander

Barcelona's Stunning Park Guell - Keep Calm and Wander

Park Guell in Barcelona is visually stunning. I’m not only referring to the legacy of arts and architecture that Antoni Gaudi left but also to the nature and breathtaking views you’ll see from up here. You’ve never been to Barcelona if you’ve never been to Parc Guell. This is the city’s green space on a hill with views unequalled anywhere in the world. No wonder, this is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Though the Park Guell isn’t really in the centre of the city, public transport is accessible. There are buses that stop right in front of the gate from downtown. All you have to do is find the exact bus number. I found it using google maps. The nearest subway or metro is Lesseps. From here, you have to walk uphill for 15-20 minutes.

Skeletons and Xunantunich in San Ignacio – Globetrotter Guys

San Ignacio - The Globetrotter Guys

After leaving Caye Caulker, we didn’t really know what to do in San Ignacio, our next destination. We knew it was an up and coming place in Belize for backpackers, and somewhere full of activities. But we never expected to see a 1,400 year old skeleton fully intact deep in an underwater cave!

San Ignacio is definitely an adventure activity hot-spot, and many travellers find themselves getting ‘stuck’ here for longer than intended! You could spend the day horse riding through the stunning hills, tubing the crystal clear rivers or swimming through caves to find lost civilisations.

The town itself is relatively small and very colourful. Most hostels/hostels are in the same area, which is where you can also find restaurants, markets and places to book your trips. Read on to find out what we did and how we got there, and take a look at our YouTube video to see what we saw whilst in San Ignacio.

Getting to San Ignacio

You can get here easily by a transfer bus from Belize City which takes 3-4 hours. We booked through Mundo Maya travels for $20. Alternatively, for those on a tighter budget, you could go to the local bus station (taxi drivers will know where this is) and look for a bus whose final destination is Benque. This would cost up to $4 instead but takes much longer, with more stops, no A/C, and you may have to keep a closer eye on your belongings!
