Oahu Kayaking – Best Places to Go – 2TravelDads

Oahu Kayaking - Best Places to Go - 2TravelDads

With each visit, we fall in love with the Hawaiian Islands a little more. There are only few places on Earth as beautiful as Hawaii, and kayaking in Hawaii is an experience like no other. Oahu is home to some of the most popular kayaking spots in the islands, and paddlers of all skill levels can enjoy stunning views and incredible wildlife encounters. We really enjoy visiting friends and exploring Oahu, so adding kayaking to an Oahu itinerary just combines the best of all worlds.

Whether you’re a seasoned kayaker or a first-time paddler, Oahu kayaking is an unforgettable experience. The mountains spilling down into the sea make for epic views from the water, and the wildlife is incredible. It can be dangerous too though, so always approach kayaking on Oahu or any other Hawaiian island with a “Safety First” mindset and go with a guide when possible. Since the eastern side of Oahu is more mellow, most of the kayaking options are on this side.

If you have any questions about kayaking on Oahu, our favorite snorkeling spots or anything else related to the other islands in Hawaii, feel free to leave a comment or send us a note. And if you have your own recommendations, please share them! We love seeing people plan exciting, unforgettable adventures!

Visiting Gay Bologna, Italy’s Foodie Capital – Nomadic Boys

gay Bologna - Nomadic Boys

Visiting Gay Bologna, Italy’s Foodie Capital

‘The foodie paradise of Italy!’

That’s what everyone said to us about gay Bologna and the surrounding region of Emilia Romagna. After a week’s fill of freshly made tortellini, ragu, lasagne, tagliatelle, tortelloni, passatelli, cannelloni, lasagne… we can totally see why!

Bologna is also famous for its long corridors of porticos, the result of a large student population over centuries.

It all began in 1088 when the University of Bologna was founded. The city quickly attracted thousands of students who still today descend on the city each year.

As the student population continued to grow in Bologna over the last 10 centuries, business owners realized they could extend the upper floors of their properties outwards to accommodate more of them.

Visiting Gay Newcastle – The Globetrotter Guys

Gay Newcastle

The Globetrotter Guys Visit Gay Newcastle

Few UK cities conjure up such a distinct visual image as Newcastle. Think Newcastle and you will immediately start picturing buzzing and vibrant nightlife, the iconic Angel of the North statue, brown ale, and of course the people and their super friendly geordie accent.

But what about ‘gay Newcastle‘, what is on offer for LGBTQ+ travellers here?

For months we have been saying we want to explore more of the UK, and so when we were given the opportunity to travel to and spend a few days in this North East capital, we jumped at the chance!

As always, we couldn’t wait to explore and learn all about ‘gay Newcastle’ – but we were also very excited to explore this popular city in general.

We had a fantastic time, and were surprised by both how thriving the gay scene in Newcastle is, as well as the scope of sightseeing options and activities available.

Exploring the Scene in Gay Nice – The Globetrotter Guys

Exploring the Scene in Gay Nice - The Globetrotter Guys

Travel Guide to Gay Nice, France

Who knew Nice had one of the largest gay scenes in France after Paris and Marseille? We were pleasantly surprised to find that the beautiful coastal city of Nice on the Cote d’Azur has a thriving gay scene and that in all aspects of travel, Gay Nice has a lot to offer LGBTQ+ visitors.

With many gay bars, gay clubs, cruising clubs, queer book stores, saunas and gay events throughout the year, Nice has quietly grown into a super gay city destination. We have no doubt as more people learn about what it has to offer, it will become just as popular as other gay destinations in Europe such as Madrid, Stockholm and Mykonos.

The city itself is picture postcard perfect with its own unique character, culture and history. The city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and no matter where you explore you will be impressed by Nice, whether the narrow cobbled streets, hillside parks and waterfall or the beaches along the coastline.
