Bellaterra bed and breakfast invites you to take a trip in time as well as place at our lovingly restored 1893 Victorian inn. Each room has a unique theme and mood. Perhaps you’d like to be transported to the sultry romance of Scheherazade’s Arabian palace, or maybe the tranquil forest of the Woodland room is what you need to restore body and soul. The blue and white Aegean room evokes the classic columns and sunny seas of Greece. For the traveler who wants to relax while enjoying views of Mount Hood and the Willamette River, the Sunrise Room offers a California king bed and lots of morning light. Our smallest room, the Borealis, features a claw foot tub surrounded by colored glass tile, and the shades of blue are meant to bring to mind mountain peaks and snowy northern climes. It has a twin bed with a trundle, so it’s great for those traveling with a friend or child as well as solo travelers. All rooms have attached bathrooms and amenities including mini-fridge and microwave.

Southwest Flight Attendants May File Official Complaint Over Pilot’s Gay Slurs

Southwest Airlines ComplaintMembers of a union representing 9,400 Southwest Airlines flight attendants say they are angered and disappointed by the remarks made by a pilot who used homophobic, misogynistic, and ageist terms to refer to members of his flight crew.

TWU Local 556 president Thom McDaniel said Tuesday that the airline’s management did not do enough to punish the pilot whose words were broadcast to several other pilots and air traffic control operators. He added that the union is consulting with attorneys to decide whether a complaint will be filed against Southwest to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Southwest Pilot Rants About “Fags”, is Suspended

A Houston-based Southwest Airlines pilot has been suspended after his cockpit microphone transmitted a lengthy rant to control towers and other aircraft over an area of hundreds of miles. The transmission blocked other communications on the frequency, KPRC reports.

Pilots within certain altitude guidelines over that entire geographic area were unable to communicate with Houston Center air traffic controllers for the entire four-minute duration of his conversation since his headset microphone was stuck.

Terry Maxon at the Dallas Morning News explains: The theme of his profanity-filled comments was his disappointment at the lack of available dating partners among flight attendants. He said of 12 flight attendants he flew with during a certain period, 11 were gay and one was a “granny.”
