According to Gay Days president Chris Alexander-Manley, the event is expanding into Fort Lauderdale. It’ll debut in 2014, running from Nov. 25 – Dec. 1.

Alexander-Manley said they “had been thinking about doing a winter-style event,” and the harsh winter up north this year pushed them into making it happen.

Gay Days, which celebrates its 24th anniversary in Orlando June 3-8, previously expanded into Las Vegas in 2012.

The Fort Lauderdale host hotel will be W Fort Lauderdale, and reservations are available now.

Rainbow Days at Six Flags Over Georgia Two Months Early This Year

Author: , March 26th, 2014

Rainbow Days - Six Flags Over GeorgiaRainbow Days at Six Flags Over Georgia will be held at Six Flags Over Georgia on Saturday, June 28, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on a day significant for our community.

This date will honor and be a tribute to the Stonewall riots of 1970 in New York, one of the beginnings of the modern gay pride movement – and this is the only Pride event in Atlanta in June.

A production of Atlanta Premier Events Group, this annual “gay day of fun” expects to attract some 3,000 or more from Greater Atlanta and beyond.

This year, events include mini-speed dating; rainbow “wedding” ceremonies; special performances on the Main Stage and guest DJs. A Pre-Party Friday night and an After Party on Saturday night are planned.

Also new this year will be free HIV/AIDS testing in the park.

There will be several levels of sponsorship, beginning with Presenting Sponsor to Bronze, Silver and Gold, and all levels are being sold now. Vendor tables this year will be $300 for companies and organizations that cannot afford a full sponsorship. Past sponsors include Coca-Cola, LivingSocial, Monster Energy Drink, Gayborhood App and others.

Admission to the all-day event is available in packages from $24.99 to $49.99 which can include parking, park rides, evening buffet and live stage entertainment. The prices are significantly less expensive than purchasing the amenities separately.

Prior to the event, T-shirts will be available for $12 on our web site. If any shirts are left, they will be sold at the gate on Saturday.

Tickets are available for purchase now at http://www.rainbowdaysatsixflags.com/.

The buffet picnic-style meal includes chicken filet sandwiches, hot dogs, baked beans, potato chips, ice cream bars and Coca-Cola fountain beverages. The meal and DJ entertainment begins at 6 p.m. at the Peachtree Pavilion.

This event has grown by leaps and bounds every year, beginning with just 200 attendees four years ago.

Atlanta Premier Events Group LLC is an event production and management organization that conceives and stages events in Greater Atlanta including celebrity entertainment, concert bookings, award shows, corporate meetings and other special events. It is the producer of Rainbow Days at Six Flags Over Georgia.

Epcot Center - OrlandoThis summer, Walt Disney Co. is signing on with a major event aimed toward lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender families. Disney World will be hosting its first-ever “Family Outfest” in Orlando, Florida” – a summer vacation for the modern family.

Family Outfest Director Gabrielle Shulruff told press, “We are just parents. You know, it doesn’t matter who you are or what your sexuality is, regardless, you are people and people with families like anybody else.”

Family Outfest will be part of an effort to increase the spending of LGBT families in central Florida by 25 percent, and that’s where Disney comes in. Orlando Gay Travel, the website advertising the event, lists Disney as a “main partner,” along with Nickelodeon Suite Resorts, Macy’s, and Hilton Orlando Buena Vista.
