The Cottages at Chesley Creek Farm are romantic vacation rental cabins for two in the Blue Ridge Mountains, far away from the hustle and bustle; a place to commune with nature and unwind from the stress of city living, kids, and commitments.

Located in Greene County, about 18 miles NW of Charlottesville, our four cottages — Creek House,LaurelWood, Ridge, and Pines, and the Log House — are situated on 300 acres in the mountains of the Blue Ridge, surrounded on one side by a 1,000 acre parcel and on the other side by a 1,500 acre parcel. They are the last houses on a dirt road leading up Brokenback Mountain.

Nestled in the heart of the countryside a quick 35-mile drive from downtown St. Louis via I-55, The Cabin Collinwood is perfectly located for weekend breaks or leisurely mid-week getaways, with nearby antique & flea markets, shopping, wineries, country adventures, fishing, rivers and floating, swimming, camping, hiking, or perhaps a quick trip south to historic St. Genevieve. Twenty minutes away, you’ll find the quaint Mississippi River town of Kimmswick, replete with specialty shops, restaurants, and festivals that draw people from all over the country and region.

A little closer—the “Twin Cities” of Festus and Crystal City, where you’ll find eateries, pharmacies, grocery stores, banks/ATM’s, and “Richard’s Fresh Produce” market. Don’t forget to check out “Main & Mill” for a great burger and some of their micro-brewery craft beers! And just under five miles to the west: a stop at Wild Sun Winery where you’ll experience some of Missouri’s finest wines as part of your Jefferson County memories!

Get away from everything for that hike in the woods in some of the best parks in the nation, visit nearby rivers, relax with a huge library of in-house movies, and take some great naps! If you can’t quite “cut the cord” during your stay, our free Wi-Fi will help to keep you connected. The Cabin Collinwood is all about casual comfort on a heavily-wooded lot in a small private subdivision. When you’re ready for the tourist attractions that make St. Louis unique, a quick ride from The Cabin Collinwood delivers you to the St. Louis Zoo for the day (still free), the Gateway Arch, St. Louis Art Museum, Forest Park and the legendary outdoor Muny Opera, City Museum, Ted Drewe’s famous frozen custard, Crown Candy Kitchen, Anheuser-Busch brewery tours, Grant’s Farm, Six Flags, the historic Soulard neighborhood with its blend of restaurants, the nightlife of University City and Chuck Berry’s “Blueberry Hill” and the St. Louis Walk of Fame, world-famous Italian restaurants in “The Hill” neighborhood, old-town Central West End, or maybe a Cardinals baseball game! Nestled in the foothills surrounding Historical Nevada City (in California’s Gold Rush Region), we invite you to come join us at Camp-Run-A-Muck to relax, refresh and recharge your body and senses; and to escape your normal routine or daily grind.

An easy drive from the Bay Area, or Northern California, Camp Run A Muck is as nice and more charming than Lake Tahoe, but without the crowds, traffic and the noise.

The property is situated just an easy stroll from one of the Sierra Nevadas’ private, hidden lakes (3 1/2 miles long X 1 mile wide), Camp-Run-A-Muck is a Tahoe Style A-Frame cabin comprising 4 Bedrooms and 2 Bathroom located on an uphill cul-de-sac surrounded by mature evergreens (some of which actually grow through our expansive sunset deck).

We can comfortably accommodate up to 13 guests at a time in standard Queen sized beds or comfy sleeper sofas. Premium 560 thread count sheets and resort quality plush towels are standard.

For those that are still tied to the world, we offer full connectivity via Wi-Fi and telephone. Or, as the alternative, it’s a great place to “unplug” and re-acquaint your self to nature and tranquility. Ordinarily, the only sound one hears here is the wind through the trees.

Dining room table is expandable to 10+ people at a time. Breakfast bar with 3 extra seats compliments dining room for more casual dining. Steps away through 2 sliding glass doors is our patio (or sunset) deck with 3 tables and 10 chairs for a more alfresco experience or the perfect place for morning coffee or the cocktail hour. All electric kitchen with all the bells and whistles, full dinnerware, eating utensils, condiments and service items round out our kitchen decor. All that you need is your food and beverage choices.

After dinner or drinks, our guests can luxuriate in our 4 – 6 person jetted hot tub with ambient lighting for after dark. No streetlights in the area means stars shine brightly through our canopy of tall trees surrounding the property.

Located an easy drive from the Bay Area or Northern California, and a short 10 minutes from the Hwy (49) and Downtown Nevada City. We have almost everything that will truly make your stay with us memorable and inviting.

Your hosts have been in the travel and guest services industries for the past 30+ years and have tried to replicate what we personally enjoy and expect in our travels and experience to replicate those attributes for the guests at Camp-Run-A-Muck.

The Park exists as one of the centers of activity for this little community, but more importantly, one can always deepen one’s appreciation for the natural quiet and timeless majesty one finds here. Hike fantastic trails or bike into the Zuni Mountains, or climb El Morro National Monument.

Travel to see the wolves at the Wolf Sanctuary, or birdwatch the many great migrations that pass by or live here. Search for petroglyphs and old pueblo sites, and get in touch with the spirits of the peoples that hunted, lived and prospered here for 12,000 years. These are just a few of the experiences available here that bring one back to oneself. Our cozy, well furnished, modern cabins are an oasis for resting, playing or exploring. Or just pull your rig in, or toss up a tent for a unique and pleasant stay.

El Morro R.V. park boasts the well renowned Ancient Way Cafe, a very popular spot for locals, tourists, and taste seekers. It has an excellent array of breakfast and lunch offerings that fit old standards with southwestern specialties, and the Friday and Saturday night gourmet offerings rival some of the best fusion enticements out there, Spanish meets Navaho meets Old and New World presenta-tions.

The onsite bakery provides an amazing array of sweet tooth goodies that are high quality, from scratch, and original. In an upbeat Cafe,’ with the art of locals festooning the walls, and an exuberant and efficient staff, we are a different kind of outpost than most people expect. We are also Gay owned and managed, and exist in a very supportive community with many other LGBTQ folk.

Other things to do here include a walk of our unique sculpture garden trail. Visit the wellness center called Wave Riders of the Ancient Way (also on the property) to get a psychic reading, or an energy balancing, or to experience other esoteric healing options. Check out the Galleria Carnaval across the street for eye opening art and gifts. Find great shopping for native work at Inscription Rock Trading Center next door, and even more great art, (as well as concerts, festivals, theater productions, workshops, open mic night, and other events ongoing throughout the year} at The Old School Gallery across the street.

There is also the very nice El Morro Market across the street with organic and local goods, as well as specialty goods that you thought you’d never find in the middle of nowhere. Or just sit on your porch and watch the dreamy day go by and have a fire in the fire pit, (weather permitting) and sing campy songs that echo off the mesa wall. So much to do or not do!
