Event Review – Bears on Ice, Reykjavik, Iceland

Author: , September 10th, 2014

Bears on IceThe Icelandic capital, Reykjavik, saw an influx of hairy and hunky men over the past weekend. The reason? The tenth, annual Bears of Ice festival, which, besides evening parties and discos, also includes sight-seeing tours of this fascinating and unique country.

This year’s program featured a Golden Circle tour to enjoy the awe-inspiring natural wonder that is the Gullfoss waterfall and local hot geysers. This was followed on Saturday by a group trip to the ever-popular Blue Lagoon – a natural, geothermal spa that draws in visitors from around the world.

Evening events included a party guest DJ Hi-Fi Sean at the Reykjavik club, Hurra.

‘It was a weekend of beary indulgence meets a geology lesson… we were entertained and educated at the same time, ‘ Sean told GSN, before listing highlights as including, ‘Geysers, lava, blue volcanic springs, big ass waterfalls, glaciers, hairy men, great food, friendly people, stuffed puffins… and one big finale with Bearracuda from USA.’
