Disney Gay Days Starts Friday

Gay Days at Disneyland is a beloved tradition for many LGBT folks. As we gear up for the annual celebration, taking place this coming Friday through Sunday, the producers of the event have shared a wonderful collection of photos from previous rainbow-hued evenings in the Magic Kingdom to remind us that when you wish upon a star, it makes no difference who you are. Gay Days Comes to Anaheim October 4th

Gay Days AnaheimThe 2013 Gay Days at Disneyland are set to take place Friday, Oct. 4 to Sunday, Oct. 6. For its 16th year, the event is expected to attract more than 30,000 LGBT park-hoppers from California and all over the country. Friday’s highlights include “An Intimate Conversation With Tabatha Coffey,” the third in our series of celebrity chats, with 100% of proceeds going to the Point Foundation. Tickets are $20 and are available online and at the Gay Days Welcome Center in the Grand Californian Hotel.

The evening continues with WONDERLAND, a dance party with DJ Ray Rhodes (Tiger Heat, KBIG 104.), hosted by Los Angeles drag diva Momma. The event, which benefits the Point Foundation, runs from 9:30pm-1am at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen located in Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort. Tickets are $20 at the door. The Wonderland pre-party will include a sneak peek at the new ABC series, “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.”

Out on the Mountain Returns to Six Flags San Diego Next Week

Out on the MountainSix Flags Magic Mountain’s annual Out on the Mountain Gay Night returns this year on Friday, Sept. 20. The entire park goes gay for the night, which provides a safe and inclusive environment of fun for the LGBT community, with rides, dance party, and performers.

Out on the Mountain is the creation of Six Flags Magic Mountain and DJ Ray Rhodes and started in 2008. More than 6,000 people are expected to attended this sixth annual Southern California event of thrill rides and private gay party, while raising funds for local gay charities and organizations. The entire park is closed to the general public for this private LGBT party from 6 p.m.-1 a.m.

“This is an exciting event to put on each year, where LGBTs of all ages can enjoy an evening together with music, rides, and great fun,” says DJ Ray Rhodes. “While I’ve been a DJ all over North America as well as a club promoter for many years, this event still holds a special place in my heart because of how it helps also so many worthwhile LGBT organizations and charities.”

Rainbow Days Returning to Six Flags Over Georgia

Rainbow Days at Six Flags Over GeorgiaThe Rainbow Days celebrations return for a fourth year at Six Flags Over Georgia just outside Atlanta. Tens of thousands of gay and lesbian vacationers are expected to converge on the theme park for this year’s festivities, which will be held all day on Saturday, August 10. Rainbow Days is organized by Atlanta Premier Events Group, LLC, with The Gayborhood App as presenting sponsor.

The park will be open at 10 a.m. for all crowds, including the Rainbow Days attendees. For out-of-state attendees the best ticket to purchase is the Gold Package, which allows admission into the park, all rides, free parking, and entry into the special pavilion area where LGBT-centric entertainment will perform and a buffet dinner will be served. The Gold Package costs $50 (compared to the normal cost of $100+ for admission, parking, etc.) and can be purchased online at rainbowdaysatsixflags.com.
