Morocco might be the most photogenic country we’ve visited so far. Okay, many countries come close (such as Mongolia and Myanmar – maybe it’s countries that start with an M-kinda thing?), but Morocco is incredibly magical (another M-word!).

The murals on the East Side Gallery of the Berlin Wall is a fascinating display of past, present, and future. Though the wall is covered in vibrant colors and eye-catching art, they can’t hide the city’s history. It’s engraved on, within, and beyond that wall.
Today, the remnants of the infamous Berlin Wall still stands along the bank of the River Spree on the Kreuzberg side. It’s a reminder for everyone to see that Walls don’t work. 😉
In 1961, East Germany started constructing the Berlin Wall to get rid of the “fascist” from West Germany to enter the East. Anyone who would escape from the East would be shot dead. A total of 171 residents who tried to flee didn’t make it. The Wall was dismantled on November 9, 1989, when people from both sides of the Wall were allowed to walk/cross freely again in both territories. However, the reunification between the East and West Germany only happened officially on October 3, 1990.

We’ve travelled the world extensively, and can hands down say that when it comes to stunning sunsets, the Keys of south Florida is the best place to come. There are of course many other reasons to visit the Keys: the terrific gay scene of Key West, the diving in the many coral reefs, beautiful beaches, and of course the star culinary highlight, the Key Lime pie! But for us, those magnificent sunsets stole the show.
The Florida Keys are a string of thousands of tropical islands stretching about 120 miles (193km) off the southern tip of Florida, between the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. The word “Keys” comes from the Spanish word “cayo”, which means ‘small island’.
The Keys begin at the southeastern coast of the Florida peninsula, about 15 miles (24 km) south of Miami. They then extend from Key Largo, all the way to Key West, which is the westernmost of the inhabited islands.

If there’s one thing Costa Ricans value above all else, it’s community. Pura vida is more than a friendly motto written on hats or T-shirts for tourists to buy at souvenir shops. Directly translated as “pure life,” it is closer to American ideas of the “simple life.” And in Costa Rica, the concept is part of their heritage and runs deep in the soil. The views of Athens from Mt Lycabettus is one thing that most tourists miss. That’s because when they visit The Parthenon on Acropolis, they’d also see Athens’ skyline from there. And for most of them, that’s enough.
But, if you had time to climb Mt Lycabettus, you should do it without hesitation. The view from up there at sunset is something that you would never forget too soon.
Seeing the Parthenon from the side Mt Lycabettus is another angle of seeing Athens’ panoramic skyline. And guess what, the mountain is even so much higher than Acropolis. You’ll be able to see the white-washed city dwellings creeping all the way to the Aegean Sea.

Although Gay Days has been celebrated at the Disney parks for decades, ever since the first one in 1991 (right here in Orlando!), Disneyland Paris has just made history by becoming the first to organize an official LGBTQ Pride event, finally acknowledging openly that pink money pays their bills, too.
Magical Pride happens June 1, 2019, and will include a “Magical March of Diversity” parade, as well as several different music performances. Inspired by Orlando’s and Anaheim’s massive Gay Days parties, the first – though it was unofficial – Magical Pride took place at Disneyland Paris in 2014. Now it’s getting the nod from the park.
The Grand Staircase Escalante is huge! It’s bigger than the Great Salt Lake. The largest lake in the U.S. that’s not a great lake.
A short 45 minute drive from Bryce Canyon is the enormous Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. It spans from the eastern boundaries of Bryce Canyon to Lake Powell Recreation Area.
To be honest we knew very little about what to do at the monument. Luckily we passed by an open visitor center on the way and a friendly staff member gave us more than enough information to keep us busy for weeks. We planned for about 4 full days including a day to sit at our campsite and rest. With our time we were only able to explore a section of the far Northwest corner and the far Northeast corner.
This vast land is made of canyons, plateaus, dessert life, rivers, waterfalls, ancient ruins, and dinosaur bones.
GSENM is apart of the Grand Staircase, duh. A vast area of land that stretches South from Bryce Canyon to Zion to The Grand Canyon forming a sort of sequence of steps. GSENM encompasses several of these “steps” aka layers of sedimentary rock. Refer to the photo below for a visual or our last post.

The largest gay resort in the U.S. Southwest has new owners. Los Angeles-based Alternatives Resorts has bought the 170-room Habana Inn in Oklahoma County. The property sold for $2.4 million.
Alternatives Resorts spokesman Arnold Greenspan says the hotel will be renamed as Hotel Habana and the first phase of renovations will start in the fall.
