shOUT! Film Festival

When Newcastle’s own LGBTI film festival returns this weekend for a third year of on-screen adventures, it’s bringing many more cities and towns along for the ride.

Kicking off next week, the shOUT Film Festival has expanded to include Canberra, Western Sydney, Coffs Harbour and the Gold Coast whilst still staying firmly put in its home town of Newcastle, NSW.

The festival started in Newcastle in 2012 as a way of raising awareness for the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHO, on 17 May each year).
