Transgender Woman – Hong Kong Customs Officers Behaved Like Animals

Hong Kong, ChinaA South American transgender woman has has claimed Hong Kong customs officials behaved ‘like animals’ during a body search which lasted more than nine hours.

The woman, who has remained anonymous for legal reasons, arrived at Chek Lap Kok airport in Hong Kong to apply for asylum in the city.

She had previously fled her home country, where she had been shot and stabbed, and had arrived from Taiwan, where she was hoping to speak with her country’s consulate. She needed to update her passport because of changes in her appearance caused by hormone treatment.
