Yes, we finally made it over to the Big Island. The weather is gorgeous. I just had to get out of the freezing weather I California. We got here Thursday afternoon. My brother, Darrell, and his wife, Kat, picked us up at the airport. After a lovely Thai lunch, we went to their home. Gorgeous. They have 5 acres, a beautiful house, coffee and citrus trees, pet cats and 2 birds.

Both of them are very artistic, so they are in the midst of covering the lanai in Quartzite. So while they worked on Friday, Frank and I went on a long walk. This side of the island, Kona, is more dry than Hilo side, but beautiful. It was fun, when we got to the top of the hill, we looked back, and saw the Carnival cruise ship looked like it was anchored behind their house. Pretty nice yacht, huh!

Yesterday we went to the Farmers Market, then in the afternoon went to a beach where we saw turtles. Beautiful.

For dinner, we have had grilled teriyaki chicken and salad, fish, vegetables and salad, all eating on the lanai. Love it.

Now we are off to Captain Cook. Not sure exactly where or what that is, but I will find out and you will know tomorrow. Aloha!
