International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association Launches Non-Profit

The International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association has been working since 1983 to bring the “gay travel” world together by fostering and supporting gay-owned and gay-friendly business.
Today, it has members throughout the globe, and it’s continuing to expand by launchng the nonprofit IGLTA Foundation. The philanthropic arm will use the power of LGBT travel to build bridges with communities globally.
As a result of receiving a grant, the association has put out these goals for the Foundation: a scholarship program to expand educational opportunities for students in LGBT tourism; assistance for emerging LGBT destinations that may not yet have full government support…
