La Citadelle XVIeme in St Tropez

The Citadelle of Saint Tropez, has crowned the town for the last 400 years. In 1602 the King engineer Raymond de Bonnefons, was in charge of the fortifications of the Provence, undertook the building of a huge tower of defence.
This tower now called Donjon, characteristic from the 16th century, huge building visible from the distance with an inner patio. Their main purpose, play a dissuasive role.
