Hong Kong’s Pink Season 2012

In America, Pride season is wrapping up (Memphis will hold its festival on October 6) but Hong Kong’s Pink Season is just getting started.
But it’s not a wild and debauched weekend–it’s a three-month period full of parties, film festivals, parades and, yes, yachting.
“This year, the focus is on encouraging the engagement of the community, bridging the gap between expat and local LGBT communities and also showing the government and businesses that ‘pink power’ in Hong Kong is strong and important,” says Pink Season coordinator Tay Her Lim.
