From Sorrento to Rome
scott, September 16th, 2012 Our dear friend, Bella (Dolly Goolsby) is on the go again, this time in Italy. She has graciously allowed us to republish her travel blogs. Enjoy!
Wow! Guess I have fallen behind in my blog posts. We had toured the Amalfi Coast on Tuesday. We were both so tired after that, we were in bed, asleep, by 8:00 p.m. No dinner that night!
The following day, we had a leisurely day, in Sorrento. We used our Rick Steve’s book, walked around the city, went to the Foreigner’s Bar for a drink, as that bar has the greatest view of the Gulf of Naples.
The steep walls and ravine the divide the city from the old and new parts. I think the new town is only 200 years old. From there, we went to Aurora Pizzeria for a delicious lunch. Ron, look at this pizza oven. Boy, they were turning the pizzas out en masse, and the one we got was so good.
