Five San Francisco Leather Events Will Benefit Local Charities

Published Date Author: , April 16th, 2012

Leather FlagThe Board of Directors of Folsom Street Events announced this year’s line up of its Major and Supporting beneficiaries. Net proceeds from five key San Francisco leather and fetish events (Bay of Pigs (TM), Up Your Alley (R), Magnitude (R), Folsom Street Fair (R), and DEVIANTS (TM)) will be donated to local charities working in public health, human services, and the arts. Last year, Folsom Street Events donated over $330,000 to local and national charities in need.

Demetri Moshoyannis, Executive Director, said, “The economy is still devastating our nonprofit sector. Many local agencies are suffering from the severe cutbacks in government funding, particularly in HIV/AIDS services. Folsom Street Events hopes to fill many of the funding gaps.”

Jacob Richards, Board President, added, “We are incredibly proud to announce this year’s line-up of Major and Supporting beneficiaries. These organizations are supporting our community with emergency financial assistance, employment services, housing, legal services, basic needs fulfillment, critical healthcare delivery, and, of course, the arts. We are extremely happy with the results of our grant review.”
