Why I Love Traveling By Train
scott, February 8th, 2012
Let’s be real: Air travel is great—but it can be a real pain in the ass (and not the good kind). It’s a hugely inconvenient convenience, and many people would jump at any feasible alternative.
Last weekend, I traveled to New York City. It’s a short plane ride from my house (less than a half hour), but I opted for a different form of transportation. I took the train.
When it comes to Americans and vacation transportation, one survey found that nearly 90% of us travel by car, 7.5% by plane, 2.1% by bus—and a measly 0.8% by rail. I think it’s time we reverse the trend and show some love for train transport.
