UK: Gay Couple Wins Lawsuit Against Christian B&B

The Court of Appeal has today upheld a landmark court ruling in favour of a gay couple refused a room by the religious owners of Cornwall hotel.

Martin Hall and Steven Preddy, civil partners, had successfully sued devout Christians Peter and Hazelmary Bull for sexual orientation discrimination.

They had been turned away from the Chymorvah Hotel near Penzance in 2008 under the Bulls’ policy of not allowing unmarried couples to share rooms.

If you don’t want to serve the public — all the public — don’t go into a customer service business. It’s as simple as that. You’re entitled to have whatever religious beliefs you choose — no matter how hateful they may be. You just have the power to enforce them on others. Welcome to America!

Proof that even liberals need proofreaders. The previous comments have read that you just DON’T have the right to enforce your beliefs on others. (sigh) The previous should only be served at Tea Parties.
