Last month we were in South Beach, Florida again and everything about that place is so exciting with dozens of things to see and do.

We always stay at the Lords-South Beach Hotel which is right in the heart of everything. Located just a couple of blocks from the beach it is the perfect place to stay. Brian Gorman, General Manager continues to update everything about the hotel.

We just got back from our annual pilgrimage to SF for Macworld – THE show for apple enthusiats from around the world. There used to be another one, Macworld Boston, but the SF show is now the sole survivor.

We’ve been going almost every year for at least a decade – and while the show has gotten smaller since Apple departed a few years back, there were still some interesting finds. Sad to say, at least a copule of them were at the local mall next to the conference center, not at the show itself.

Whenever we find ourselves in San Francisco, we try to catch a play at The City’s premier gay theater, The New Conservatory.

And this trip was no exception. Located at the corner of Van Ness and Market, just a block from City Hall and the Opera, the NCT occupies the basement of an office building, and offers three theaters.

While we were in San Francisco for Macworld last month, we enjoyed a couple great restaurants – one an old favorite, and one that was new to us, but was very good. First the old favorite.

In the theater district just across the street from the ACT theater, Colibri serves Central Mexican cuisine with a modern twist. Just two blocks from Union Square on Geary, this restaurant oozes old world charm – filled with old wood accents, soft lighting, Mexican artwork, and a cozy atmosphere.
