Preview of Puerto Vallarta’s Fourth Annual Mardi Gras

Published Date Author: , February 3rd, 2012

The 4th Annual Mardi Gras parade promises to be bigger and better than ever. The route is about three times as long. It begins at 9pm. The fun starts at Park Hidalgo, runs south along the malecon, makes a right on Basilio Badillo and then a left on Olas Altas to its conclusion.

Parade organizers are anticipating around 100 entries. These range from walking performers to elaborate floats.

Several thousand spectators are expected, but if you are not in town, no problem. For the first time the parade will be live on the internet, produced by Video Diva Productions. “I’m so excited about the live broadcast with multiple, professional cameras,” says Laura Gelezunas, owner, Video Diva Productions, “I’ve assembled a crew that is enthusiastic to push the envelope for this broadcast.”
