St. Martin - A Gay Friendly, Cosmopolitan Island

Although only a couple of hours flight time from the US, St Martin is very European, and is the smallest island in the world which is divided into 2 countries, French, and Dutch.
Hence the probable reason it was adopted by US famous citizens in the 50s as a great tropical destination, where actually everybodys speaks English. As many St Martiners originated from nearby English speaking islands, and sent their kids to US schools.
Today, St Martin has become very popular among tourists, and gays. The first time I discovered St Martin was in 1995, and I loved it the first day. When people ask me why, I usually answer these couple points.
