Welcome to "The scallop capital of the world", Digby, Nova Scotia. Located in the southwestern portion of Canada's Ocean Playground, Digby offers visitors a wide variety of interesting activities, dramatic natural attractions, comfortable accommodations, and is close to the best whale watching in North America.
Many visitors plan a three day stay in Digby. One day will be spent travelling down Digby Neck, exploring the quaint fishing villages along the way. At the end of the mainland, approx. 30 miles from Digby, you will take a short ferry to Long Island, you will cross this island of approx. 12 miles where you will find a 2nd ferry waiting to take you to Brier Island. From these two Islands you will find some of the best Whale watching tours in North America.
